This style of the Victor M (Victor Monarch) was introduced in 1902. The quarter sawn oak case with fancy pillars and spaghetti molding gave an appearance of substance and middle class respectability.

The double spring motor drove a ten inch turntable.

Both front mount and rear mount versions of the Victor M were offered.

An earlier version, usually referred to as the Johnson M, was housed in a substantially different case.
