19 5/8 inch Polyphon music box for sale

This large coin-operated 19 5/8 inch Polyphon music box would have sat for years in an establishment such as an English pub. The coin-op mechanism is complete and working, and plays after the insertion of a large English penny.

This machine has not been restored, but is in more than acceptable condition, and in far better condition than most of these glass-front vertical Polyphons that I have seen. The teeth show no rust, and the leads show no appreciable oxidation. It comes with the inner motor cover, and the gallery, which is frequently missing.

It also comes with a small bag of English pennies, which may be easily retrieved from the coin drawer at the base of the machine.

Some of the idler wheels on the pressure bar have been replaced to help the machine play better. There is around a 2 inch portion of the trim molding on the right side of the cabinet, toward the rear, which has been a little chewed up.

Dimensions are approximately 16 by 27 by 36 inches tall without the gallery, or 49 inches tall including the gallery.
