Miraphone mechanism

This is a complete mechanism for a 12 inch single comb Miraphone. It consists of the bedplate, combs, attached motor, etc; in fact everything but the case. There is no crank. There are no phonograph parts, with of course the exception of the spindle which is part of the motor.

I haven't put a disc on this, but the combs are clean and the leads and dampers appear to be decent, so everything should play acceptably. The motor takes tension and seems to work fine; there's no evidence of the cracked cast iron gears that sometimes plague the Mira.

Combination phonograph-music box Miraphones will usually sit in a regular Mira case, so if you have an empty case for a 12 inch Mira it's likely that this mechanism may just drop in. The mechanism is a top-winder, like most 12 inch Miras. Dimensions of the bedplate are approximately 17 inches by 5 7/8 inches. $2500
