Edison Diamond Disc adapter
$65

Edison didn't favor selling adapters to play regular lateral cut 78rpm records on his Diamond Disc machines, so the adapters you will find are aftermarket. This gold plated adapter was probably marketed as a "Kent" adapter, although I'm not 100 per cent certain. The end just swivels into the socket on the horn extension. The generic reproducer has a chip out of the pot metal where the pin engaged, but it could be repaired with some epoxy, or the reproducer could be press fitted with a small paper gasket. Of course there's nothing to prevent you from using a different reproducer, and in fact early versions of the Kent adapter were designed to be employed with a Victor Exhibition. These adapters are much scarcer than you would first think -- you find them probably on only less than one in a hundred Diamond Disc machines. $65
