Edison Diamond Disc D25
$1500

Edison Diamond Disc D25

Introduced in 1918 at a cost of $250, this nondescript machine, officially known as the D25 Jacobean, is one of the scarcest of Edison Diamond Disc phonographs. Slightly over a dozen are known to exist -- the serial number on this machine is 581, and because it does not have file cabinet type storage it is believed to be a late example. This example retains its original finish, with some typical weathering on the lid. The single spring motor works fine. I have a reproduction crank with it, but if you want the machine I'd be happy to locate an original crank for you at no extra cost. As of this writing the linkage is torn on the reproducer, but I'd also be happy to rebuild the reproducer for you. Good, untouched, original machine. $1500
